Community Emergency Response Training
CERT offers disaster training. Sign up on their website. Classes are 2 1/2 hours a week for 7 weeks. Taught by the Fire Department.
Victims of Property Crime – Police Form
In the event that you become a victim of a crime (incident) where some or all of your property is taken or damaged, you should fill out this form with the following: item type, brand, model, serial number, a description and a value for each item. This form can be handy to provide this information to either the police or Insurance companies, when prompted to provide a list of the items stolen or damaged during a burglary, vandalism, or a mother nature incident.
- If you want to take it a step further and photograph the front and back of each item and attached a copy of the photos to this form would be even better.
- Once completed, you can either save a copy of this form in your bank safe deposit box or simply scan the completed form and save it on a flash drive (including the photographs and receipts if you have any).
